Rebuilding Altadena After the Eaton Fire — One Home at a Time

LA General Builders has been building in Altadena and Pasadena since before the Eaton Fire — our completed projects include a home remodel in Altadena, an 800 sq ft addition in historic Bungalow Heaven, and a full foundation retrofit near the Rose Bowl. We know these neighborhoods, and now we're helping rebuild them.

We know LA County's rebuild process. Altadena is unincorporated LA County, which means your permits go through the County — not the City of LA. We work with the Altadena One-Stop Permit Center, understand the like-for-like fast-track rules (including your right to add up to 10% or 200 sq ft without full zoning review), and build to Chapter 7A wildfire-resistant standards: Class A roofing, ember-resistant vents, non-combustible siding.

One license covers your roof, too. We hold both a General B and a C-39 roofing license (#1044686). Your new Class A roof — one of the biggest line items in any fire rebuild — is covered under our own C-39 license: one contract, one point of accountability.

We speak insurance. We prepare detailed scopes of work in the format FAIR Plan and private adjusters expect, which helps close the gap between your settlement and your real rebuild cost.
